A rehearsal for St Patrick's night in the Sow & Pigs, Jane & Annie
The real night with Geraldine and Paul in the Farley Arms
Then next morning we hit the New Forest @ Lyndhurst
The walk was stunning, lots of ponies and winterscape
We returned to Lyndhust across open moors
You can just see the spire of Lyndhurst Church on the horizon
We passed and explored a pretty cemetary as we returned
And had delighful flapjacks, scones and clotted cream in the wee cafe
Day 2 we struck out for Highcliffe and took the beach walk to Mudeford then Christchurch
What a fantastic day it proved to be, bright warm sun
I was up for a sunbathe
And even went down to the sea for a paddle
Goodness my toffee crunch 99 ice cream was yummy
Annie's chocolate fudge cake looked a bit good too
We returned on the cliff top walk, the isle of wight clearly visible
Finally touring Highcliffe Castle before we reluctantly returned home
What a fantastic mini break, actually the travel time was only 1.75 hours each way ..no sweat !! Thanks Annie for your vibrant company
