The AGM Highlights
The AGM took place on Sunday 17th at 1.30pm. There were 28 members present. Andrew opened the meeting by saying how delighted he was to be out judging again and meeting so many old friends. Secretary Jennifer reported most of her Secretary's work with no shows had been with Defra and PCGB. Wearing her Treasurer's hat she reported a small deficit for the last two years but the Club was in good financial health. Jennifer reported that just this Federation Show weekend a lot of the members had returned therefore this current year there should not be a shortfall in the running the Club. All the present Officers expressed their willingness to continue should the meeeting desire. There being no further nominations they were elected 'en block'. There were two small changes to the Standards debated and passed. a) Face colour of Birchen, Brown Reds, Blacks and Blues to be consistent. Changed to: Mulberry (Gypsy), as dark as possible. b) White toenails in dark birds were a fault and not a disqualification. The Standard for legs would be added with: "matching toenails" The Club Show would remain with the Federation at Stafford. The judges were elected as follows: Federation: Black Reds: Howard and David Carson. The remainder: Bob Banister and Alan Higgs National: Simon McKean and Bill Alder Jennie was congratulation on our new Club Stand gaining first prize this weekend.
