MALE PLUMAGE: Cap, hackles and saddle white with a blue edging, Wings: bow pale orange-cream; bars and primaries medium to pale blue; outer edge of secondaries and edging of lower primaries white, the bay showing white when closed.
The rest of the body medium to pale blue including tail.


FEMALE PLUMAGE:
Hackles white, slightly striped with blue,
breast light salmon running to medium to pale blue on thighs.
Remainder medium to pale blue with back, shoulder, wing bows, secondaries and tail finely edged with a lighter blue-white.


IN BOTH SEXES:
Beak horn. Eyes, comb, face, wattles and ear lobes red. Legs and feet willow.
